2 things:
- What filesystem are you using for Linux? Ext2 or ext3? I
personally would recommend ext2. A lot of people argue with me that
it doesnt make a difference but it does in my opinion. You dont need
a journaling filesystem with an Oracle database. Never had before,
never will.
- Oracle recommends you use RedHat Advanced Server 2.1 for Linux (at
least if its RedHat). Due to threading and other enhancements.
