You are going to need to provide a lot more information because taken on its face my first response
to your posting was ... you can't use DBMS_JOB to start EXP. So what is it you are really doing,
in what language, and what error trapping do you have in your code to catch a procedure that runs
and then does not complete as expected? Audit trail? Elapsed minutes? ORA- errors? Log files?

I know you can see what's happening on your monitor ... but we can't. ;-)
