If you go through a firewall,go to http://tahiti.oracle.com and search for Firewall - The listener needs to be able to
communicate over port 1521 ( by default) to establish the connection and it then ( again under default situations) passes the
connection to the database off to another random port..Your firewall would need to keep the ports open..There are ways to
configure the SqlNet components to use the same port , that you can specify, for all communications..Read the docs and be
aware of the limitations of this method..
