Hi Tim

This subject has been discussed a few times recently in this group and also on Jared's list, you could search on google for some ideas. I also have covered a number of the issues relating to stopping users accessing the database with SQL*Plus in my companies latest newsletter, you can read it at http://www.petefinnigan.com/newrecent.htm if you are interested. I cover how to trick the product user profile, why renaming SQL*Plus doesn't work and some other issues.

hth

kind regards

Pete
