unload LOB's from 8.1.5

I am considering loading millions of images into an Oracle 8.1.6 database. I plan to load them as LOB's and am comfortable with that. Once they have beens stored in the database, I'll clear the corresponding O/S images. Sometimes I will need to copy a small number of these back out to the O/S (unload). I don't see any facilities for doing this? Am I missing something?
