Here is my 2cents (take it for what it is my opinion)
2 CPU XEON 900 (can grow if needed)
2gig RAM (leaves room to grow if need be)
Get redundant fans and power supply (nothing worse than one of these
stupid things bringing you down)
The 5i controller it comes with SUCKS!  Use it only for the OS
drive. (18gig mirror)
They have a good 64MB dual channel SCSI3 Raid controller for like
$1500 get it and also get a Storage Works 4354 and put your data
drives in 0+1 in off the fast new controller.
Not like I said, this in my opinion and because I do not know your environment this might be over kill or not enough. Good luck, but should give you some ideas.
