I absolutely agree with all of the above. If you don't have a clear job definition of where your responsibilities start and stop get one.

If you don't have control and you are in a situation where you will end up either (A) being blamed and lose job or reputation, or (B) having to work countless hours on evenings and weekends cleaning up their mess ....

Polish your resume and get the .... out.

Someone else has already poured on the gasoline. You are just sitting there hoping someone doesn't toss in a match.
