Yes, not using MS SW for email is what I call an user sanity check.
I'm using The Bat! at home, which warn about dangerous contents, do
not display HTML mails, never hide extension etc.
At work we have Outlook + Exchange, but also very good firewall, so
I've never got any virus to my work computer. Everything was stopped
by firewall and sorry user was automatically informed that his
computer has a virus.
One should never be cautious enough while dealing with internet.
