ok, here's the deal,

i have a question for you guys. at the moment i am still using Oracle 8.0 server. It's great! I have this small set of Enterprise Manager Tools and i can do everything i want with it. It's a great database and i just need the Oracle database stuff like tables, triggers, procs and functions. _that's all_

now i recently got a copy of Oracle 9i.... it has become a nightmare. all my precious tools are gone. the installation trippled in diskspace and i see all kinds of stuff floating by and i don't have a clue what to do with it.

now i know, that i just have to upgrade to 9i, and i know this confusion is all about a lack of knowledge.... so who can point me to information about the differences between these versions. Also i like to know how i can setup an Oracle 9i installation with just the basic stuff(as mentioned above) i need.

i hope you guys can help me with this.

regards,
