Look on the bright side -

Not everyone runs the kitchen appliances on the same circuit as the X-station. And not everyone would select the '32-bit CDE environment' when trying to install 64-bit UNIX.

Those two lost me a day and a half.

On the other hand, 'real' users might want to fake a full system backup or three of their entire XXX GB before upgrading the hardware, firmware and O/S - rather than trashing it first.

And of course, I did lose a lot of time by using the 'Quick Install' document for
experienced DBAs. I hadn't realised it was intended as a joke rather than a guide.
