Unfortunately 00600 internal errors are version and parameter value specific. We encounter the ORA-00600 [kcbget_18] error on version 8.0.5.2.1. The rest of the parameter list varies, but depending on the error/version may or may not indicate we hit the same error. But to continue, we entered a tar with Oracle support and the only information I have recorded is that they said to upgrade and then call back if the error re-occured. We did and it has not reoccurred.

I am pretty sure that in our case we did not have an rbs related problem. Question, is the problem repeatable? If you can duplicate it every time and it generates a trace then support should at least be able to tell you if it matches a known problem, and if there is a patch. They will send patches even on unsupported versions as long as they have them.

Good luck
