Is this the correct /etc/system syntax for my brand new Solaris 8 aka 5.9 for my attempt to install Oracle9i db? I downloaded the 3 CDs (not too bad, about an hour or so.) My problem is that while the install says "install complete", the "create db" aspect hangs, as others have reported here. I've just now rebooted after adjusting my /etc/system, and plan to install the large patchset 108528-09 also, though it does not exactly match the 108528-01 noted in the release notes. I do have enough swap space and memory, according to the release notes. Any comments appreciated.
