If I understood your db setup correctly, then it sounds like Oracle is an overkill to begin with.

You might want to establish relationships between your tables, set up some indexes and primary/foreign keys, and RI to take advantage of a data base engine to some degree.

I definitely don't see any reason to upgrade in your case.
