Oracle support has recommended that I have at least 512M if I want to run a database and OAS on the same machine. But there's a lot more to it than just having enough memory. Chapter 4 in the book Oracle 8i Web Development (ISBN 0-07-212242-0) has about 100 pages on tuning OAS. It's worth a look.
