8.0.5 on Linux

Is it possible to install Oracle 8.0.5 on a linux system with kernel v.2.2 (i.e. something like Red Hat 6.1)??

Has anyone done it?

I would go for v8.1.5 but I find the minimal hardware specifications sugested by Oracle ridicoulous!
