In fact, it depends.
It depends on which version of OAS you're using. With recent versions,
(4.0.7 and above), you can use apache 1.3.6 and above without much hassle, so I suggest you to upgrade to 4.0.8.1 if you can.
Instead, if you must use an older version, I suggest you to user apache 1.2.x (pick the most recente version). Unfortunately,
the first release of OAS 4 seem not to like apache 1.3.x. I used apache 1.2.x with OAS 4.0.3 for a while, and it worked just fine.
In particular, using apache 1.2.x with OAS 4.0.x (low), reduces the amount of work you have to do to get it compiled. Regards,
