Depends how much data moves between instances, and what type of schedule. For a one time load or regular interface, a few KB or TB?

There is the Informix 'unload' utility and the onload parallel loader. Oracle has the sqlload utility. These methods are ascii file based, for a quick and dirty solution. To get data out of Oracle there are sqlplus scripts that simulate the Informix 'unload' utility.

Otherwise, depending on you massive budget there are other solutions.
