you can use cooked files of solaris (and not raw devices). Use 3 2Gb files or if possible use 12 500Mb files as it has been done all over the industry.
-- mirror control files on all 3 disks

• mirror redo log files on 2 disks and willl be enough
• i am surprising how can u use only 2 tablespaces. - you may consider using tables and indexes on the same or different disks becuase u need to manage on only 2 disks
