GENERAL ORACLE

I use a software which is written in Cobol with some C++ and uses Micro Focus (Focus) for windowing. I have no real idea what any of that means except that Cobol is not a language commonly used anymore. Now the software company said they have a version which is ORACLE ready...what does that mean? I am only a user of the software and don't know if this is something I need to upgrade to as they want more $$ to get the ORACLE interface. Does ORACLE make the package internet ready? What would it take to do that?

You can respond to me directly if preferred at softpaw_at_telenet.net

Thanks
