Doing tkprof when browsing in my application. I found that the number of parses/executes is equal to the number of Fetches. Rather unusal since the sql is small and shared_pool size is about 15MB. Should be enough for a single user. This means that for each fetch the sql is doing it parses the sql each time without taking it from the shared_pool.

Is there anything that could make it not go into the shared pool.

Using a network sniffer I can see the sql going across from the client multiple times. But once should be enough.

Using Borland client.
