Hi Joe,

I think the answer to your question is no. The SGA consists mainly of DB-Buffer-Cache, Shared-Pool and the Logbuffer. The consumption of all these gives you the total size of the SGA, but they are independent from each other. This is descibed in the "Oracle7 Server Concepts" from aage 9-15 on (this should also be included on your documentation cdrom).
