Running into strange hangs with Oraperl (4, not 5 with DBI).
Platform is Sparc Solaris, with a 7.3.4.0.1 database that
the Oraperl was compiled with.
Various scripts seem to hang at &ora_logoff or various places in the code the would being doing a fork/exec, system, etc, i.e., a child process is created.
Is this combination of oraperl and Oracle 7.3.4.0.1 not compatible? The identical oraperl scripts work fine when executed against a 7.1.3 database.
It appears to me that something in the Oracle libraries changed with regard to signal handling and child processes.
Can anyone confirm and/or provide direction?
TIA
