Check the alert log to see if it has to wait to finish a checkpoint before it switches the log files. If so, maybe your redo log files are too small. I had the same problem, but was resolved by increasing my redo log files from 1 meg to 5 megs.
Also, it all depends on what your exporting (is it a huge file or not). Don't make me define what is huge or not. ;) Satar Naghshineh
