Before writing about Oracle, you will have to understand somthing about RDBMS systems generally (Hernandez - Databases for mere mortals is a good place to start), then read about Oracle's features and what it can do that other dbs can't, and vice versa. That should easily get you up to 500 words.

When asking database related questions, please give other posters 
some clues, like operating system, version of db being used and DDL.
The exact text and/or number of error messages is useful (!= "it didn't work!").
