i work actually in a big company that use oracle entreprise for most data management but we also often need people that know very well oracle lite mobile server and oracle lite database (pda, xp, xp embedded, win ce, win ce.net...). oracle lite and oracle entreprise are 2 different things :

[ORACLE LITE DB] <-IP-> [ORACLE LITE MOBILE SERVER] <-IP-> [ORACLE ENTREPRISE] example of oracle entreprise architecture

[ORACLE CLIENT APP] <-IP-> [ORACLE ENTREPRISE]

2 different ways for using oracle lite :

• as a standalone oracle data management (pda, win32, xp embedded, xp...) that does not need to talk to a remote entreprise db through mobile server
• as an oracle data management, which data must be uploaded to a remote oracle entreprise version through mobile server

i think your professor asked you to use it as a standalone oracle data management system... it is a very good thing and many entreprise need this kind of experience from their employees...
