Last week, I was driving home when a nice little red car slowed down to let me enter the freeway (unusual in Portland). I waved my thanks and drove on. He passed me just before I got to my off-ramp and I noticed the car bore a license plate that said "LINUX" and brunette, bespectacled male driver. I almost missed my exit!

I do believe Linus Torvalds lives in the Portland area now, having been hired by the Open Source Development Lab here in Beaverton.
