Re: Oracle8i 8.1.7 won't install on w2000

AFAIK 8.1.7.runs on W2000.
You will need to look at the installation log file. And you will need lot's of memory for the JRE and the SGA if you used the defaults and installed the Enterprise Edition, at least 512 MB.
