Hi,

I am trying to load binary data (data file created with VAX Basic with Word and Long datatypes) into a field defined as NUMERIC in an Oracle 7.3.4 database(soon will be 8.0.6). Is it even possible to convert this data by specifying some type of conversion function within a SQL*Loader control file? Has anyone had any success loading this type of data any other way?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Cathy
