Error with rman

While doing DR rebuild ( physical standby ), after restoring standby controlfile in DR location, i am getting below error while restoring database. I took backup through RMAN ( hotbackup ) from primary database.

RMAN-06026: some targets not found - aborting restore

RMAN-06023: no backup or copy of datafile 28 found to restore RMAN-06023: no backup or copy of datafile 27 found to restore

As part of trouble shooting, we tried with validate backupset and found that some of backupsets dont contain data. Error in alert log file shows below error.

Error validating file dummy (5) in piece /backup/ora_backup/gll88kta_9_1: missing header
Error validating file dummy (19) in piece /backup/ora_backup/gll88kta_9_1: missing header
Error validating file dummy (27) in piece /backup/ora_backup/gll88kta_9_1: missing header
Error validating file dummy (28) in piece /backup/ora_backup/gll88kta_9_1: missing header
Previously we were succesful with this process. Can you please give some tips to find out why backup from production is corrupted / not complete ?

Environment sun solaris 10 oracle 10.2.0.4 dual node RAC
