Does the oracle home path '/home/oracle/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/oms10g' happen to have a symlink somewhere in it? I seem to remember having a similar problem some time ago and I eventually traced it back to Oracle not liking symlinks in the path to the oracle home.
