Hi Noons,

I've been using Netbackup & the oracle agent for around 5 years with oracle versions 9 .2, 10.1 & 10.2. I backup to tape & remote disk simultaneously. I do not use FRA, but then maybe I'm just a dba1.0 ;-)

In particular doing a full clone to another server is just a couple of rman commands. Yes, I use archivelogs as well straight to tape, and these get applied when doing the cloning.

For me, it is just utilising rman with a remote store. You may have to watch your rman retention policy with your netbackup retention policy. I have a quite bonkers of never deleting a tape.

cheers,

jason.
