*Note:401132.1
I was trying to add a new node to a V10.2 RAC on OCF2 when encountered errors.
From the note it says
"*It is not possible to directly install Oracle Clusterware 10gR2 to use the
block device because the Oracle Universal installer (OUI) that ships with
10gR2 is unable to verify the shareability of block devices and hence will
not allow the install to complete complaining that the block devices that
was provided by the user is not shareable.
Starting with 11g, it is possible to use the installer to use block device. This may be a simpler workaround since it is supported to use a 11g Clusterware with 10gR2 Databases. In case that cannot be done, the following steps may be followed to use block devices with 10gR2 Clusterware."
Has anyone encountered this & how did you get around this nasty "feature"?
TIA!
