We are attempting to add a 3rd node to an existing 10.2.0.4 cluster on Solaris 10.

The new node is a Sun v445 the other nodes are v440's. The interface names on the the existing nodes are bge0 - beg3, while on the new node they are ce0 - ce3. In attempting to add that 3rd node, I hit the following error:

/u01/crs/oracle/product/10.2.0/crs_1/bin/srvctl add nodeapps -n
oracnp05 -A oracnp05-vip/255.255.255.0/bge0|bge1 -o
/u01/crs/oracle/product/10.2.0/crs_1

PRKO-2109 : Invalid address string: oracnp05-vip/255.255.255.0/bge0|bge1

Am I correct in thinking that OUI is expecting identical interface names across all nodes of the cluster? Is is mandatory for interface names to be identical across all nodes of a cluster?

Thanks,
Jeff
