I dont think so using ASM over NetApps would give you any performance ASM would run over another layer here (Write Anywhere File Layout) WAFL and there wouldnt be any gain in performance i dont think so.
You should look for RedHat Linux 4 or 5 with direct IO with FCP or iSCSI FCP is faster but more expensive too. Hardware iSCSI is about 23% slower then FCP.
