What about using a backup of 64-bit Oracle 10.2.0.2, RHEL4 on a Dell server to Oracle 10.2.0.2, RHEL4 on an IBM Series z9 zVM? Will that work as well? An IBM "technical specialist" (salesman saying he knows what to do) says we have to use data pump and trasportable tablespaces. I haven't had a chance yet to read much on data pump so it might be preferable anyway. Just curious what options are available to me. I haven't been able to find anything really useful on Metalink yet either.
