Our data warehouse has a calandar dimension that is granualr to the day. I suspect that shortly I will be asked to implement a time dimension, granular to the minute, to deal with staffing issues. I plan on provisioning that just once and using it in conjunction with the existing calandar dimension.

BTW - For the discussion here - why truncate and rebuild the table daily/ Why not just increment the date value by 1 each day? Is it more costly?
