Thanks everyone for your replies. It seems IBM has approached us to be part of a seed program for their new line of business class mainframes and they were asking how many transactions we do per month

...I am no longer surprised. The OP sounded like Mainframe speak to start with...easy stuff to calculate when you are doing IMS...but Oracle on z or someother wildcat is a lot different.
