Battle against large and cheap disks is lost in advance. That sounds just like "battle for 8 cylinders". With $3/gallon, me thinks not. We cannot do much about cheap disks, but there is this little thingy called DBD::Oracle that Pythian is maintaining and that Pythian can do something about....
