HP-UX (PA) to Sun (Sparc) migration can be as simple as copying the datafiles and recreating the controlfiles at the target location. But this is un-supported. But you can make that (partially!!) supported by doing a RMAN backup and restore as RMAN reads from the target platform and restores to target platform.

I donot recommend this as a migration method. But for testing/cloning/development activities, you can try that.
