sql_trace when using middle tier connection pooling

Our middle tier opens several dedicated connections. SQL statements are issued through these dedicated connections. If Im running a stress test and I want to trace... what is the best method to use? Just use a logon trigger and trace every session? then dig through it to look at the top sql(which would be indicated by statspack).
 
any other suggestions would be helpful. I really have no control over the middle tier or front end.
