Dear Gurus,

What is the difference FGRD and ARCH in v$archived_log.creator column. I understand FGRD is foreground process. Exactly in what scenario the value will be populated as FGRD?

I see something like below in my db.
select recid, creator from v$archived_log RECID CREATOR
----- -------

    1 FGRD
    2 ARCH
    3 ARCH
    4 ARCH
    5 ARCH
    6 ARCH
    7 ARCH
    8 FGRD
