That's all very interesting.

The various press releases at the time (e.g. http://www.dulcian.com/PRESS%20RELEASE_OCM.htm) all suggest that the "6 best Oracle experts in the world" were handed these prestigious awards. Even the TUSC website only makes mention of these awards being handed to Mr Niemiec.

If he indeed actually took and passed the practical exam in person, and if obtaining OCM status is as prestigious as the marketing makes it out to be, then I would recommend Mr Niemiec perhaps promote his "hands-on" involvement a little more (rather than the handed hands-off bit) as this I'm sure all comes as news to many.

It's actually a very brave thing to have done when you think about it. It's a little bit like being given a brand new car as a present and saying "oh no no, I want to prove I can drive it first". It's all great if you pass the driving test but if you were to fail, boy, would you look silly holding those car keys ;)

Did he have any such reservations ?
