so what features does teradata have that oracle
doesnt for VLDBs?

Teradata what Walmart uses? From what I know, it's
always been aimed at
the market for really, really big
databases. Hence the prefix "tera",
which isn't so big
anymore. Maybe they should rename the product
Petadata.
