I happen to know that you have to work hard to keep Crystal from doing a SELECT * and doing its own filtering and grouping. It can be done, but you have to KNOW that that is what you want to do, i.e. novices will let Crystal do what it wants.

I'm not sure. I'm talking to the application team to see what exactly is being done behind the scene. I do know that I can't capture queries running via ColdFusion server and thought that there may be something like that with Crystal.
