Im playing with the example in tom kytes book. we have alot of korn shell scripts that we use as functions.

We 'echo' out values to standard out. is there anyway to catch this echo with a java stored procedure? I thought about redirecting it to a file and reading it in with utl_file, but that makes it more complex.

any other way to do this?
