Depending on your budget, I recommend a Hitachi SAN. Fast, 24/7 uptime with guaranteed data protection(They'll even compensate you if you do lose data).

We lost a board on our 9970 and it phoned home and a hitachi tech was here the next day to replace it and we didn't even know it was broken. They replace boards and upgrade firmware live.

They cost a lot, but well worth it IMO.
