On the other hand, when you take a look at sys.obj$.type#, you'll note "undefined" object types like 2,3,5,6,46,47 and 56. That means tha DBA_OBJECTS is by no means giving you everything. There are object types like "temporary segment", "enqueue" "latch" and, very likely, some that I don't know about. Those are known as "unnamed horrors" and you don't get to learn about those that cannot be found on http://www.ixora.com.au.
