Hi there,

I'm trying to change my database (Oracle 8.1.7) character set from WE8ISO8895P1 to WE8ISO8895P15. I would have thought this was possible but I get this message:

ORA-12712: new character set must be a superset of old character set

The reason I'm doing this is to allow the use of the Euro character and WE8ISO8895P1 doesn't allow me to do this.

Any help appreciated.

TIA,
Steven Hovington.
