Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Anyone ever implemented aix 5.2 "concurrent io" ?
Hello everyone,
I've come across an IBM whitepaper: "improving database performance with aix concurrent io". IBM have tested this with Oracle 9i R2 and claim performance comparable to using raw-volumes.
Has anyone in the fatcity community ever tried this? Does Oracle do an open of the database files using the o_cio flag? Or should one mount the jfs2 filesystem using the -o cio option?
Looking forward to your reactions.
Regards,
Hans de Git
