Careful! After a week, the consensus view of the employees was very positive - they found they had far more time to get on with their work and regarded the ruling as worth while. External email was not affected. The rule was merely an attempt to cut down on the amount of internal email trafficking. The subtext was - 'why don't you speak to that person instead of emailing them?'
